Amazing ways to travel and work at the same time

Have you ever thought about quitting your 9 to 5 job and just hit the road, or hop on a plane or just go to the bus terminal and see where life can take you? Many people fantasize about closing the shop and selling the house and going abroad. Well, fortunately you don’t have to do that. There are many ways to travel and spend as less as you can. We are not talking about cheap deals or last minute tickets and bookings. We are talking about travelling and working at the same time. YES. It is possible and here are some jobs you can get a certification or a degree for and you can still hold on to your much desired stability.

Let’s start with the corporate world. Do you want to travel and work for a big company? The best thing you can do is to apply for the next Executive Assistant job that pops up in your job’s intranet. Why not? You will be the boss´s right hand and you will get to travel by his side wherever he goes.  It may not be all glamorous, but you will have the opportunity to go places and be in the background enjoying the view and the places with not all that amount of meetings and work as you think.

Another corporate world job you can apply for is a Retail or Sales position.  A Retail buyer, for example,  has to attend meetings and trade shows  which gives them the opportunity to travel to places where the company has to choose products to sell, or where the company sells their own products. Another good way is to look for a job as a Buyer. It could be as a freelance. Most large retail companies  hire buyers to help them arrive to important decisions  for purchasing. Look for these types of jobs while you are at your desk. Maybe your local head-hunter can help you by arranging some interviews for you if you are really interested in travelling.

On a more educational side, there are two options that can be applied for and don’t require a lot of time out of the office to apply and prepare for them. The first one is as an Au Pair. This option is more suitable for under 30 women, but companies and clients are also looking for different age groups and sometimes men are included (not so often). A requirement could be to know a second language, but there are some agencies that help you with the language requirement by applying a course while you work. If you are good with babies and enjoy babysitting and teaching kids, this could be an amazing option to travel, work and learn a new language. Sometimes you can ask for some time off from your job, and can return with a second language under your sleeve and not spending so much money.

As for one of the best jobs in education you can have and easily prepare for, is being an English Teacher. Aside from meeting new people all the time, you can travel around the world and always find available work. English is the most  popular language in the world, and one of the benefits of knowing English is that everyone else wants to learn it. It could easily be the easiest way to go out and see the world. Almost every country requires English teachers on a weekly basis and every year more than ten of thousands of people travel to teach English. Even the UK and some English speaking countries are short on teachers. Asia and India are always on the look for certified English teacher. You can apply for an online course that can enable you to teach or even take a one or two months English teaching course in an English speaking country while you have a job leave or if you are released from work. A two month period is not a long time and you can travel on holidays or even change your job if you fall in love with teaching.

There are many other jobs that can take you to all the places you have always wanted to visit. These are only four and on two categories that can help people go wherever they want. Whether you want to travel on vacations and not spend too much money; or you are looking to change your life and just go and see the world that awaits you, these are good examples of things you can do so that dream of taking pictures and living a new culture does not escape you. Also, you can still hold to your 9 to 5 job if that is completely necessary.
